After Ballmer talked about a possible Yahoo/Microsoft deal, Microsoft made another; a deal NBC Universal. The deal would bring a few of its titles to the Xbox 360 via rentals. So far thirty titles including, Scarface, The Mummy Returns. The deal is for the Xbox fans in the UK and Ireland and will boost Xbox’s video on demand, Neil Thompson, Senior Regional Director of Microsoft’s Entertainment & Devices Division stated:
There’s a phenomenon at the minute where more and more people are staying at home to consume their entertainment – we’re really offering a convenient one-stop shop for them.
