I am a regular user and visitor of Microsoft.com and well this year I have seen pretty much changes all around the UI aspect on the Microsoft homepage and within it’s website on different services. I first saw the integration of the Silverlight Platform of the main page this year. And a right hand navigation pane fro easier manipulation of links.
But now Microsoft has made two important changes as visible to me. First the navigation pane has gone upwards giving the user to easily maneuver wherever he or she wants to go. Secondly the interface is much more streamlined giving teh website more of W3c compliance.
You can see nice , uncluttered drop down menu’s.
Along with that the search page is now also much more relevant as of results and also much more streamlined, with less clutter that was there before.
I hope bringing new look and feel is also reflected with tight security measures in Microsoft products as well just like on the website, as Microsoft definitely needs to revamp it’s web business to be a potential leader, which it is not currently lagging behind web giant Google.
