Microsoft Corporation yesterday uncovered Microsoft Equipt. It is a subscription service of productivity software and an all-in-one security for users. The service brings anti-malware protection technology with a simple single installation. Also it deliver features to make things easier for the management of PC which helps enhance its performance. The consumer subscription simply combines Microsoft Office and Windows Live OneCare.
Microsoft Equipt, which was primarily named Albany, presents Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 to its users, providing them the latest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
Consumers will automatically get the version upgrades whenever a latest version of Windows Live OneCare or Office is released, as part of their subscription.
The estimated retail price for an year long renewable subscription of Microsoft Equipt is of $69.99 (US). The usual price of Office Home and Student 2007 is around $150. Three home PCs can make use of one subscription. This makes it feasible for users with several computers (though not too many). Starting from the mid of July, it will be available in almost 700 Circuit City stores in the US.
