Mendeley has raised $2 million in funding from numerous investors including, Stefan Glanzer. The service provides web and desktop based apps that make searching for research papers more efficient. The application lets users to join its network and easily collaborate with fellow researchers and find papers or invite others in academics to it. The ability to import files in various formats makes sharing research papers even easier.
