MeetingWave, an NYC-based company that provides a unique service of allowing one to create an event and let others signup for it, thus enabling a social gathering to happen. The company, formerly known as TravelersTable, lets you post invitations where other people can browse it and join in. So once a person finds an event interesting, they contact the organizer and then the guy gives the go-ahead for the invitation.
