Meebo's new ad deal

Meebo, the online chat provider, has announced a wide range of music distribution partnerships. The new ad deal contains partnership with DashGo, Nettwerk Music Group, Sparkart and Wind-up Records.  All the mentioned companies signifies a range of prolific music artists like Avril Lavigne, Evanescence, The Killers, Seether, Tim McGraw, Thriving Ivory and Weezer. This deal would increase the number of artists who are using Meebo Rooms for incorporated site chat to more than 100.

Meebo The web based Instant Message client targets the audience ageing 25 years or younger. Previous stats of the company show that its user base in the U.S. is 33% where as rest of the people are elsewhere. The site is available in more than 50 languages. Recently the site observed an immense traffic from its application partners, specially from Facebook. The Social Networking partners of the company include Mesmo, Buddy Media, Commagere Ventures, FrozenBear, K-Factor Media, Rockstarted, Spicerack Media, Unit 501 and Trippert Labs.

The deal will let the SparkAds advertising product of Meebo to incorporate in Meebo Rooms which will be integrated in the website of those musicians. All the revenue generated as the result of this deal will be split between Meebo and the artists.

Meebo claims that around 35 million people per month are utilizing their chat and IM apps.
