Every joke offends someone, that is it’s function.
Is it okay to laugh at someone falling down, someone tripping up, someone making a mistake?
Morally it isn’t,
..but society needs the joker and the offensive comedy, it keeps us from becoming too bogged down in our own shortsighted opnions, our own smugness.. it holds up a mirror and shows us another point of view.
History and politics teach us that, if nothing else.

I can take a joke, but that image of slavery and whips is seriously offensive.
