As we know already that Mark Papermaster takes Tony Fadell position, after he stepped down from being the head of Apple’s iPod division. The move here now would be for Papermaster to ensure that Apple’s research and improvement is steady regarding its iPod’s performance and battery life issues. Whereas IBM is not happy with his inclusion and is suing Apple, as they say Papermaster knows some trade secrets they’d rather not have leak out. The company further states:
“Mr. Papermaster’s employment by Apple is a violation of his agreement with IBM against working for a competitor should he leave IBM.”
“We will vigorously pursue this case in court.”
While this seems like Papermaster has moved from a creative position to a logistical position, it remains to see what the end result shall be.
