Logitech is expected to layoff 15% of its employees as the company will be going through some “restructuring”. The company is expecting to show this all in the first quarter of the next fiscal year. According to Gerald P. Quindlen, Logitech’s president and chief executive officer:
During the December quarter, the retail environment deteriorated significantly, and moreover, we expect the economic environment to worsen in the coming months and we are therefore taking significant actions to align our cost structure with what is likely to be an extended downturn.
