Linux 2.6 kernal has joined the iPhone platform. The version contains the support for first and second generation of iPhones along with the first generation of iPod Touch. Features included in the current version of Linux are:

• Framebuffer driver
• Serial driver
• Serial over USB driver
• Interrupts
• MMU
• Clock, etc.

Also the Read-only support for the NAND will be available but right now its not ported to the iPhone platform.
