LinkedIn launches DirectAds

Shoaib Hashmi

LinkedIn DirectAds Last month we reported LinkedIn’s new product DirectAds, now its official. LinkedIn, one of the world’s fastest growing professional network, has launched DirectAds. The new online product is intended for those members of the network who want to promote their business, product or services to the fellow members. On the other hand companies and large brands, for best results, can contact the sales team of the network.

DirectAds allows LinkedIn members to purchase text advertising which is specific to a certain audience. The size of the business can vary i.e. it can either be big or small. For example, you may be looking for people who are interested in gadgets or maybe you wana hire some IT professionals for your new business. This all can be done using DirectAds which will convey your message to targeted audience.

LinkedIn members, with this new service, can:

identify audience who can see their ads based upon seven different criteria.

write specific message related to their products.

pay using credit cards.

Premium Account customers are relieved with a 50% discount on this service. The product is opened for a large number of professional network’s members and it is easily accessible. The process is easy and it hardly consumes a few minutes.

One good thing with this product is that you won’t be able to see any additional ads. Furthermore every DirectAds ad will carry the name of the advertiser and his profile data which will help you know about the person who is targeting you.

On the new service, LinkedIn says:

We think that DirectAds will be a simple and valuable way for members to market their service, business, or product to the rest of the LinkedIn community.

The product is currently available for U.S. members.
