We had earlier learned and reported about Facebook’s Benjamin Ling to be opting out of Facebook for a greater opportunity. Ling had previously worked for Google and had been associated with Facebook for almost year before finally calling it off.
However Kara Swisher has confirmed that Ling is set to step back to Google and this time he is making a stop at YouTube.
The reason for Google taking him in again is pretty obvious as it fails at generating any tiny bit of revenue from its free online video sharing site, YouTube. Is this some sort of ‘Google out Facebook’ in and ‘Facebook out Google in’ game being played by the two giants? There have been quite a lot of recruiting done by Facebook over the last year that has top Google Executives in the list as well; the names of which include, COO Sheryl Sandberg and PR and Platform head Elliot Schrage and many others.
