While mobile social networking may have dominant powers in the likes of Facebook and MySpace, it wont stop the dwarfs to try and grow. Two such dwarfs have taken an initiative to grow taller as Limbo acquired Brightkite. Limbo would adopt the name of Brightkite and will continue with Brightkite’s team while Limbo’s Jonathan Linner will continue to be the CEO. Plus Limbo also announced raising $9 million in funding in a round led by Nexit Ventures in January, 2009. The combined userbase of both would now exceed a little further than two million. The move is pretty intelligent as it the combined efforts of both teams can definitely create a formidable challenge to others in the same league (the dwarfs that is).
