Microsoft today sold off Franchise Gator, an arm of its digital advertising division. Franchise Gator was brought by Landmark Interactive for a price of around $20 million. With Landmark Interactive already owning similar assets that include Franchise.com and this acquisition will neatly fit in. This sell off from Microsoft follows its decision to pull the plug on Encarta earlier.
