Koofers, a knowledge sharing community for students, has raised $500,000 out of its $2 million first round from Altos Ventures and New Atlantic Ventures. Online knowledge and learning sites are gaining some moment in recent times with BrightStorm raising $6 million in first round of Venture funding in October, and iKnow, a web 2.0 learning management service gaining steam specially in the Asian markets.
