Tweetrush is a newly hatched Ireland startup that provides latest stats updates about Twitter usage. User can view total tweets of the last week along with a hourly average. The simple service is powered by an analytics engine ‘Rush Hour’ with an aim of providing estimated tweets updates.
The site allows you to check your accounts stats and daily average tweets while you can also glance top tweeters and active tweeters on the main page. Being based on a new analytics engine (Rush Hour), the site focus on actions and events instead of page views and clicks. Thus, Tweetrush analysis the tweets and public messages sent via twitter and is actually a test bed for this new engine to test load capabilities. It chose Twitter as it has a sizable User base, that could be served as a good medium to test load competency of a new service.
When I first logged into the site, it gave me an impression of a twittercounter clone that renders you an updated statistic about your followers via bar chart. But Tweetrush is somewhat different from it as it gives you a clear idea about your tweets and messages and thus is focused on communication stats rather than your friends and followers.
Overall, it a good incubated test service. But it is yet to seen wether Rush Hour team will eventually feed this little seed into a mighty follower stats tree or it is limited to their test bed and would be ignored when the engine itself will start working. Currently, the service is showing incorrect stats about twitter usage and this reveals that its in development process and needs a lot of improvements to generate precise results.
