We had earlier reported of Jaiku coughing and sneezing as it stayed offline for quite some time. The problem as they had highlighted was with their servers and they were to resolve it. The blog reports of Jaiku back in business and their servers moved on to Google Datacentre.
The switching over to the data centre primarily came in a bid of future amalgamation with Google App Engine. The transition now done, Jaiku is back in business with a new set of terms and conditions (that can be viewed here) and loads of invites for users.
Let’s just hope that Google pays some serious attention to it and transforms it into a success story, unlike what it had done previously, leading to Jaiku’s demise. A resurrection I genuinely look forward to making an impact with micro messaging.
