IVT is following in the footsteps and up to take on Cisco and Google as it launches its own YouTube for the enterprise. IVT PrimeTime will challenge them, as well as start-ups: Veodia and Brightcove, with its portal-like media center. Apart from videos the media center can aggregate all rich media, recorded WebEx meetings, iTunes podcasts, Cisco video conferences, webcasts, and Polycom conference calls. It’s a portal that corporations can make use of to manage content within their organization.
The Los Angeles & Palo Alto Calif-based company allows Employees to upload videos for corporate training, and users to setup channels for specialized content & provides some privacy controls as well. With its current clientel: Cisco, AT&T, IBM, E&Y, Oracle, NEC, Rohm & Haas, and EDS, it is a dedicated provider of rich media video communication & webcasting software. As the company is raising investments ($3 million in the first round), Greg Pulier – the founder, states that he felt the need for a unified platform for all sorts of rich media and not just video.
