With the success of the iPhone and the new iPhone 3G, rumors of Apple’s iTunes are churning up. Yes, the iTunes 8, expected soon in the market. So what’s to be expected of the iTunes 8? Some sources are claiming the iTunes 8 consists of some new and cool features.
Let’s see what the ‘rumors‘ say: First off there’s the feature, ‘Genius’ – A new kind of music recommendation engine which creates playlists from songs in your library. It also includes a sidebar, which scans your system and recommends music that you don’t already have. Another aspect of Genius is that it arranges your library in a way that songs that are alike are assembled together. That would give you an organized listening experience.
The ‘Grid View’ allows you to browse artists and albums in an aligned manner. Grid View would be in addition to the List, View with Artwork and Cover Flow views.
There’s also a new Music Visualizer, which next to nothing, would be interesting to look at while listening to music.
The current High Definition option is for select films rented over iTunes Apple TV device. This is expected to go on to include television shows. Although, it’s unknown whether this will be limited to Apple TV. Again this is all based on rumors so let’s not get jumpy about it just yet.
Also sources say that a revamp of the entire iPod line is in the works, with small cosmetic changes to Touch, whereas Nano would have a significant redesign. A drop in Apple’s iPod price range is also expected, having seen the $199 iPhone already. Last but not the least, iPod Touch 2.1 software will pop-out soon. So keep a look out for more news and reviews on that, and we’ll keep you updated surely.
