An extremely bloody and sad day today in Silicon Valley as Jing Jua Wu, a former employee at SiPort, a fabless digital radio semiconductor startup in Santa Clara killed three people including company CEO Sid Agrawal and VP Operations Brian Pugh on friday afternoon. Apparently the act of violence is a result of the laysoff at the company on Thursday in which Wu lost his job.
Agarwal was a veteran of the industry with prior experiences at Adobe Systems, Intel and Bell Labs, Alliance Semiconductor, Layer Five Networks and Synaptics. Similarly Paul had 25 years of experience in the chip industry having worked at Samsung and IBM.
