Twitter has not been down for many days now. Since the release of the micro blogging service, it has been through a lot. The service has been under discussion on many forums for quite some time now, but with the new round of funding and a few inductions in their team, things are getting better now.
Twitter, now seems to be more consistent than it was sometime ago. Although there were some scheduled downtime earlier this week, Twhirl has been running fine for sometime now. Though there are some complaints from some users, generally the software is working fine now.
Twitter has also increased their limit of API to 100 request per hour. This development is certainly significant. Getting back on track is not a tough job but the real thing is to maintain the service. Twitter has given enough time to its clones (like FriendFeed, Plurk, identi.ca, etc.) in order to promote themselves, but none of them have proved as good as Twitter. There is no word from the officials yet. We hope Twitter gets better with the passage of time.
