iPhone’s misleading ad banned in the U.K.

Apple’s 3G iPhone ad has been banned in the U.K. for being deceptive. According to the Advertising Standards Authority, they got 17 complaints that the ads were exaggerating the speed of the iPhone 3G. iPhone ads have also been targeted in the U.S. The video above shows the speed of the iPhone 3G in the ad and in the real world.

The ad is said to have violated the Federal Trade Commission Act which says:

Advertising must be truthful and non-deceptive.
