iPhone, since its release, has gained a lot of popularity and has been released in various countries. China being the world’s most populated country, contains 19.87% of the overall population. It is also the world’s largest mobile market with 608.4 million users. This shows how important the Chinese market is. There was a lot of hype created regarding the release of iPhone in China. Now, talks regarding the launch of iPhone in China are in final stages.
China’s largest cell phone operator, China Mobile, is having final word with Apple regarding the launch of iPhone in country. According to a report citing unnamed sources, the deal is about to conclude soon. On the deal, Apple is yet to comment where as the spokesman of China Mobile declined to comment on the issue.
According to China Mobile, the reason why iPhone couldn’t make it in June, was because of the revenue sharing demand. Steve Jobs, the Apple CEO, said earlier that he would like to see the iPhone coming to China later this year.
Chinese market will certainly generate a large amount of revenue for both the companies.
