According to a study by oDesk, Apple iPhone developers demand has gone up by 500% over the past six months, as iPhone programming jobs keep on coming in. Apple has not looked back after its introduction of the iPhone 3G and iPhone 2.0 platform, increasing the demand for freelance iPhone developers. oDesk, a Menlo Park, CA-based company, caters in providing jobs to certified, freelance developers skilled in iPhone apps. The company has representation in over 100 countries worldwide, including U.S., Russia, India, Ukraine, China & Pakistan.

I completely agree. I am the Senior Sales Rep for the only mobile site dedicated to the mobile industry (http://www.mobijobs.com) and we have seen a dramatic rise in the number of postings and also candidates looking to get into the mobile space. So far it’s been recession-proof. Hope it stays that way.
