iPhone: Another bug reported, related to password-protection

Saad Ali Abbasi

iphone_grab2 I came across a blog where ‘another’ iPhone bug was reported, related to password-protection. The issue arises when you turn on the passcode lock and disable ‘SMS Preview’, hopefully in order to prevent someone from seeing your messages. Though that barely works as messages are still viewable!

The passcode settings block the display of incoming text messages, showing an alert saying “New Text Message” if an SMS comes through while the phone is locked. Although the same does not occur if the phone is set to ‘emergency call mode’. In fact, the incoming text messages can be viewed, in that case.

What’s funny is that… protective parents can use this to invade their children’s privacy. So, beware kids!

Windows Mobile might also have few errors but haven’t heard about them as frequent as the iPhone. Guess they’re having us users as Beta testers :p

  6. Staysure Says:

Of course they’re not as frequent as iPhone bugs because less people have windows mobile.

  7. Saad Ali Abbasi Says:

  8. Sheeba Says:
