More rumors on the iPad 2 continue to surface. From its expected release dates being April 2 or 9 to features and hardware specs have all been around on numerous websites. The latest one is of the iPad 2 screen resolution.
The first generation of the Apple iPad has a 1024 by 768 screen resolution. Well Apple might just be hoping to double that resolution and we might actually have a crispier display on the iPad 2048 by 1536 resolution. The current rumor has some evidence as developers were able to find high resolution images in the iBooks version 1.1 and 1.2 for the iPad. Those images found are shown above to give a glimpse on the higher resolution images.
It makes it ever more obvious why Apple has also upgraded the GPU of the device to support an array of new features and accelerated display on the second generation of the iPad. I guess all the wait and patience for those who were looking for a more powerful iPad is going to prove worth it.
