Rumors are catching fire on the release of the second generation of Apple iPad ever since the official launch dates for the Verizon iPhone 4 were being announced to be 10 February. There have been mixed dates for release of the iPad 2, the earliest being put to be February 1.
The latest reports state that the iPad 2 is set to be released either on April 2 or April 9, 2011. This is of course not a confirmed date of release however I am quite sure that Apple is going to announce the release of the second generation of the iPad in the next couple of months and April sounds like a more believable date.
We already saw the mockup iPad 2 at the CES that hinted at the device having dual camera. Some other anticipated features include:
- Larger multimedia speakers
- Retina Display
- Dual Camera
It remains to be seen what Apple has in store for us. But I guess it is obvious that Apple is bound to include all the above mentioned features to make the update worth releasing. Stay tuned for more updates!
