The launch date for the Verizon iPhone 4 might still be a week away but Apple has accelerated in preparation for the Verizon iPhone 4 by releasing the iOS 4.2.6. The file is available for download here and is around 650MB in size.
Other than that the release has been designated a build number 8E200 with relatively little differences. The one major however between the iOS 4.2.6 and the iOS 4.2.1 build is that the latter will offer personal hotspot a feature that will come to GSM based iPhone 4 with the release of the iOS 4.3.
Reports are also hurling in that the iOS 4.2.6 already has an exploit that makes the iOS susceptible to the Limera1n jailbreak tool. This was pointed out by MuscleNerd. We will update this as we get more news so stay tuned!
