Looks like Intel hasn’t got good news for its employees, who must have been anticipating any such news to break forth. The company may very well reduce its workforce by 7% percent. the percentage sounds small but it equates to around 6,000 employees. Analyst Crag Berger stated:
Ultimately, we think the reduction in workforce could be to 6%-7% of total headcount (5000-6000 employees)
Why boot so many? The reason as Berger states is Intel can save up to $1 billion in expenses.
