There is quite a stir on Facebook associated to Conan O’Brien and his fate with NBC. There has been a controversy that sparked off with the issues NBC has with its programs and the cutting short of primetimes for both Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien. While this decision would have been taken, thinking that the two have come of age and it was time to cut short their presence, the fans across the Web have thrown the boot back at NBC.
The fan page for Conan which proudly says I’m With COCO has mustered over 94,000 users as I write this post. With numerous wall posts talking about Jeff Zucker, NBC’s Boss and mocking him for his absurd decision to keep Conan off air for 3.5 years. That is just adding fuel to the fire. Countless fans have change their Profile pics to that of Conan [created by Mike Mitchell], to support the comedian. What I would like to point here is how easy it is to rally in users for a cause, we have seen it with Facebook’s Global Relief Page for Haiti’s Earthquake’s victims and this is another one [of course the boxers and Bras are another kind]. What ever you do that is bound to offend followers in any manner, you better watch out for there will be quite some mud slinging at you for your plain arrogance and stupidity.
On the ending note, I like the picture. A pretty impressive piece of art and quite vocal about the cause for which it has been made. If you happen to be a big fan of Conan O’Brien feel free to join the page and support him.
