The new version of iGoogle has been tested successfully on number of randomly selected Google accounts. With its new looks and features, it has improved a lot.
The new iGoolge has taken some of cool Google mail features and blended it with its new version to facilitate users.
One of the most prominent change is, they have enabled left navigation I-e all the tabls have been shifted on the left hand side of the page that enables its users to view all gadgets with a single click. It also shows gadget’s status info (read/unread). Canvas view of some of the popular gadgets is also available that supports full page views. Though the feature is available to few number of people only,
“We are going to start testing the canvas view with a small percentage of our users this month, and are scheduled to roll it out to more users during July.”
iGoogle has also introduced a default chat feature that gives you a clear idea of who is online and will definitely help you to discuss posts and exchange useful links(from your gadgets) with your contacts.
They have integrated the contact’s updates that can be viewed in the form of Google Reader (if contacts have shared stories), Picasa-Web Albums (recent photographs) and much more in the form of artistic themes and gadgets.
The new version has worked out on new artistic themes in addition to the old ones. It can be considered as a fabulous collection of some high art carving material.
The new looks along with some great Gmail features integration and creative collection of artistic themes are really appreciable. I for one really liked it. Perhaps, it can be regarded as a new step in the on going Google improvements.
