The class action lawsuit against Microsoft for deliberately lessening the “Vista Capable” sticker requirements to conciliate Intel, has started making people unhappy. HP is pissed off at Microsoft after finding out that the low standards were artificial and also because they have spent $7 million to bring their products up to the mark. Interestingly Microsoft knew about their fault long time ago. In an email sent in 2006, HP’s senior vice president at PC unit, Richard Walker wrote:
I hope this incident isn’t a foretaste… it’s left a very bad taste with me and my team.
Lets hope things get better now because we are already going through a tough time and such stories won’t make things get better.
