The holiday season this year will see a record decline in the number of Americans travelling. I feel like putting a stop right there and pulling the plug off my machine as the economy hits one sector after another and its hits it hard on the ass. It is estimated that around 600,000 thousand Americans wont be travelling for the coming holidays along with a fall of 7.2% of those who travel via air.The travel sites are hit by chaos as they try and figure out how they can get a grip over the situation. Moody’s Investor Service in a report last week cited that travel this season will see decline:

With global recession becoming an increasing concern, Moody’s expects the current weakness in the travel sector to persist into 2009 with ongoing double-digit declines in bookings as consumers scale back on travel spending
