Independent artists on a look out to expose the mighty talent that has for so long been kept in their desktops or garage. MP3 Jackpot a part of muzic.com community is here to reward them for their efforts.
The members of the Jackpot committee vote on songs that the users submit via music.com or those found searching the net. However the songs to be submitted must be free of cost and available legally (no copyright issues) in order to be concerned for the jackpot.
The committee votes the song that they find best for the award and the sponsoring members profile is displayed in the corner of jackpot posting. This allows other members other songs that the particular member likes.
The site offers a lot and can be successful; the reason that there is a bulk of artists sunk in the depths and waiting for a place where they can have their talent heard. MP3 Jackpot does exactly that by providing a free platform for them to share and create their songs.
The site could do better by cutting out the crowded layout and add some colors to the dashboard etc, to make it more attractive for users; it is too plain to be a music site. The coloured buttons look odd in contrast to the very white (read ghostly) background.
I know that serving the purpose is more important but appearance appeals to the users a lot. and what is exactly is the Jackpot? Is it just a display at the front page?
