If flues of all kinds go viral in the real world, it only takes a crazy idea to go viral on Facebook. I am so not wrong when I say this as we have seen this happen with so many fan pages. Be they purposeful or plain pointless, there are people who will support the idea. The latest one erupting with fans is there to make Hella a real number. How?

Well they plan to to make that word a SI word for 10^27. I bet I don’t need explanation to explain that? Anyways it simply means 1 leading 27 zeros. The biggest surprise here is that it is catching attention from big names like Popular Science and media channel Fox News which are only making it sounds really important. The page is actually a petition by Austin Sendek who is a Physics student at the University of California and had thought of having a better and more understandable prefix for the mammoth number.

If he gets the desired attention and people do signup or support the Petition, the International body that standardizes Units [International System of Units] would go ahead and make it official. Why not? They already have Yotta as a prefix for 10^24. The page at present has over 34,000 fans and as more people join, spread the word, Twitter about it or write posts, that number is going to increase exponentially.

By the way, how much would 1 HellaByte of Hard drive cost?
