HBO and Walmart released their apps for the iPhone in efforts of reaching a wider market. HBO came out with its ‘HBO Snowman’ app – which runs clips from popular HBO shows. Whereas Walmart’s app is called ‘Walmart – BlowAKiss’.
The Walmart app is targeting Valentine’s Day shopping spree, and you can go all out and buy gifts through the app. Both apps are marketing strategies to cover more ground, and as mentioned before, reach a wider market basically.
