The biggest issue that comes with updating the iOS on the Apple iPhone, iPad or the iPod Touch is with downgrading to the previous version. I am talking about the SHSH blob in particular.

SHSH blob is a signature file on your iOS device that is verified against the servers at Apple to ensure if the device is running the latest version of the iOS. Fret not, there is a new Cydia app that enables you to save these blobs, though we have already talked about how to save SHSH previously with Tiny Umbrella.

The iSHSHit is a latest app for jailbroken iOS devices that automatically utilizes the Cydia On-File service and saves the SHSH blobs on the Cydia Servers instead. Using the app is not rocket science, you can directly save the SHSH blobs onto the Cydia Servers by clicking on the Save icon on the top right [image below].

You will of course be needing a jailbroken iOS device to utilize the iSHSHit app. If you are lost on how to jailbreak iPhone, iPad or the iPod Touch you can follow our step by step guides to jailbreak iPhone or iPad with Redsn0w, or the PwnageTool and using the Limera1n jailbreak tool on iOS 4.1.
