Well the iPhone Dev Team and the Chronic Dev Team have both confirmed that both Redsn0w and GreenPoisOn will have their source code available for the public for free. We are talking Open Source jailbreak tools now and the purpose is to make the jailbreak tools even more efficient by crowd sourcing the code.

We are all aware that the GreenPoisOn jailbreak tool can be used to jailbreak iOS 4.1 powering iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G & 3G, iPad as well as the Apple TV 2G.
