Globex Designs have released a standalone Firefox extension, that applies a new greyish theme to your Gmail and GCal. The redesign is achieved by uploading CSS files which are than loaded onto the client’s browser and changes the look and feel of Gmail and GCal.
Globeex Designs would be maintaining the extensions at their end, which would mean that you would automatically be pushed with any update of the extension. The extension is a free download for all versions and platforms running Firefox.

Very nice! The standard gmail interface is pretty boring and considering I spend a lot of time looking at is, this will be a welcome change!
