gOS is an Operating System that targets the huge user base of MySpace. It’s a great OS for using on netbooks as well, as it combines the best of Linux, Google and MySpace mixed with ease of use and superb eye candy. The feature list is good. And with the new gOS Space Dock, Design, Technology and Desktop Applications, it is an outstanding idea to target the OS at the users of the second largest social network in the world.
The best thing about gOS is that it doesn’t try to be general purpose like Vista and OS X Leopard, but instead it focuses on what the users of MySpace would want. Space features a shiny dock full of stacks that expand to show the most popular destinations and web apps for MySpace, celebrity news, photos, videos, music, TV, and everything that matters to the MySpace generation.
We’ll be giving this a try, as it also boasts of some neat eye candy. Although we aren’t MySpace users, this is something worth checking out. Now, only if they would make a gOS version aimed at Facebook!
