Google/Yahoo deal isn’t going to kill Yahoo, Microsoft will!

image-thumb230 Google/Yahoo deal isn’t going to kill Yahoo, Microsoft will! It’s pretty surprising as to why many a folks would consider the Google/Yahoo deal to be harmful for competition, if it is to point out that the two combined would control more than 90% of the search market then it sounds absurd. Why would Google want to partner with Yahoo to do that? It already controls 70% of the market single handedly and from the clear majority it has, Google can very well monopolize everything that is related to the search and ad market.

On the contrary, Yahoo’s sell out to Microsoft might very well bring death to Yahoo as an independent platform for search. Google’s deal with Yahoo is a simple partnership, to share and expand business within the two companies but buy out by Microsoft would be a complete amalgamation of Yahoo into Microsoft. Obviously that means Yahoo will no longer be an individual platform for search business and working only in the interest of Microsoft.

image285 Google/Yahoo deal isn’t going to kill Yahoo, Microsoft will! There will a lot of you who would contradict with this but the real culprit eager to obliterate every competition in the market is Microsoft. We have seen how desperately it has tried to win an audience with cashback programs etc, it has the financial resources and it will use them to become number 2 by gobbling Yahoo up. Google might be cunning by lending a hand to troubled Yahoo, but it isn’t taking Yahoo towards annihilation with a buyout. It might draw out a lot of blood with this deal but it won’t kill Yahoo. And by that I mean the any deal whatsoever with Microsoft is going will murder it without drawing any blood at all.
