Google’s Chrome gets bashing from Germany: ‘Chrome is Insecure for Browsing’

From the flaw in its EULA and its correction to challenges from the upcoming Firefox version and it never ends, reports have it that it has received a heavy bombardment of criticism from Germany.

The alarm warning was triggered via Germany’s nationwide news program, Tagesschau, stating:

The Federal Office for Information Security warned internet users of the new browser Chrome. The application by the company Google should not be used for surfing the internet, as a spokesperson for the office told the Berliner Zeitung. It was said to be problematic that Chrome was distributed as an unfinished advance version. Furthermore it was said to be risky that user data is hoarded with a single vendor. With its search engine, email program and the new browser, Google now covers all important areas on the internet.

But does that really matter? Users are switching over to Chrome, be it for testing purposes only and once they get to click with Chrome, the idea to go back to old browsers might just get a bit difficult. I for one am using Chrome and Firefox side by side and I find Chrome faster, way much faster and neat. Privacy? Yes a definite issue of concern and probably the only thing that’s keeping me from using as my default browser. Chrome needs to get done with all this soon enough, the more such reports bang up, the harder it will be for Chrome to expand its user-base further (and more rapidly to be precise).
