Google´s Blogger has added a really exciting new feature to its mix, the ability to Post in Hindi while writing in English. This might sound crazy to some, but Hindi, Urdu and Persian are amongst those languages that could be written in Roman English as well. The new English-Hindi transliteration feature introduced in Blogger now enables you to type blog posts in Hindi using English Keyboards.
In order to use the transliteration all you need to do is select the feature by going to Settings | Basic. Once enabled the setting will affect all blogs in your account.

Once you are over with this, you would be able to see a new button in your post editor. This button will toggle the transliteration feature on and off. Once on it will affect title, labels and body of posts.

The words would be automatically converted to Hindi as you will hit spacebar. Another option is to turn the option off and write the complete post, after which you could select the entire post and perform the transliteration.

Not only this you could also edit something that the automatic conversion tool did not transliterated correctly. Once you`ll edit it, the tool will learn from its mistake and will not repeat it again.

The blogger team has also made available the chart that is the basis of their transliteration. This new feature from Blogger is sure to erode some market share from Hindi Kalam and Quillpad.
