The timeline is a summary of Google’s achievements over the last decade starting from BackRub, the initial project started by Sergey Brin and Larry Page to the first ever investment of $100,000 Google got from Sun co-founder Andy Bechtolsheim, all the way to the time it hit 1 billion indexed pages. Google has had an  immensely successful journey over this period with almost any and everything it has brought forth under its name, Google. The success has been so immense that it has made it a paradise on the web, be it publishers, writers, advertisers all the way to school kids searching for articles to complete their assignment; Google has become one of the most familiar name in the world today.

The submission deadline for the program is October 20.

It’s good to see that Google values ethics and it plans at doing something for the world by making it a better and more importantly giving everyone a chance to try and make a difference. Google has shown a lot of responsibility by aiding such a thought with this step and we look forward to more of these heading up to make a difference.
