The search engine giant Google is said to be in talks with the operators of Australian data center in order to build a local Google data center. One of the reasons behind the initiative may be that the unwillingness of local businesses to register for Google products because of the cost of data, notes AustralianIT.
Google’s main Australian office is in Sydney right now but there is a small office in Melbourne as well. One important thing to note is that a number of Australian companies have been acquired by the search engine giant so the company shouldn’t have much problem in setting the data center there.
