Google and Bloomberg TV have reached an agreement according to which the prior will let the later use its system for TV ads. The partnership was announced on Thursday. Google’s TV ad technology let advertisers know about the ad users are watching live. According to Google data from various anonymized set-top boxes are used by the technology. TV ads get the revenue based upon the impressions delivered.
On the partnership, the director of Google TV ads, Mike Steib said:
We’re pleased to be partnering with Bloomberg Television to continue to make TV advertising more relevant and measurable.
With the successful business of selling ads that appear with the search results, Google now is concentrating more on the traditional media such as print, radio and TV. Though there is some progress, it is yet very early to say about its success on these mediums.
