Google tests its new feature: Customize Search Result Details (with a selected few)

image369 Google tests its new feature: Customize Search Result Details (with a selected few)Reports have it that Google is out testing a new feature for its search that enables users to decide what amount (length) of summary they require to appear for their search results. The available options include Small (has no summary displayed at all), Medium (Summary equal to the current length) and Long )one that extends up to four times the present).

What this will do is to offer its users to get more insight into their search results, as Google pulls up some text from every site. This will provide a bit of information before the user can actually proceed with going to the desired page.

Search is Google’s core business and it’s very  cautious with every new feature it has plans of rolling out. These are tested amongst a few users until they are given a green signal for the full roll out. I am not one off the lucky few who is privileged to use thee new feature, but it definitely is one to make search far more effective, I for one had grown tired of seeing a single line with dots and dashes that barely made sense and all one had to do was to figure the content out by heading and the bits and pieces words.

Any one else got their hands at using the new feature?
