In the midst of all the buying and selling going on, cut throat competitors, and what not; Google rolling out the red carpet for the blogger community seems like a good offering! Google is one of the sponsors in the Big Tent bloggers facility at the Democratic convention which is expected to gather around 500 bloggers that paid $100 each to access the facility.
Google is sponsoring to set up an 8,000 square-foot headquarters for bloggers that are attending the Democratic convention in Denver next week. However this is not the only one, they are also reported to provide similar services at the Republican convention in September.
Bloggers will have access to a public kiosk, Google software and services, where videos can be uploaded on to YouTube.
This is not it though; Google will also be demonstrating new tools, including a search function on YouTube that’s going to provide real-time keyword searches of the videos from the convention speeches.
Internet access, workspace and couches along with food and beverages will all be available to the bloggers in the Big Tent. Oh and did I leave out Google sponsored massages?! Now that’s just spoiling people.
This will be a good opportunity for bloggers to unite, as it doesn’t happen often expect every four years, as Robert Boorstin director of corporate and policy communications at Google Washington office was quoted saying.
Google will thereafter be providing similar services for bloggers at the Republican convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, coming September.
