Google Sites has now opened its doors for the general public.The service allows you to create your own website with a simple wizard and share your pictures, text, calendars, spreadsheets and text without paying a single penny.Google Sites was released within the Google Apps package for organizations and small businesses earlier this year, but was not available to general public.
Building a website using a Google Sites is very easy. All you have to do is to logon to the Google Sites using your Google Id. Just enter the name and description for your website, select a suitable theme and privacy options and you are ready with your very own website.
You can edit your website from time to time by creating more pages(and of course by adding more info, pictures and text ). The good thing is that you can allow any one in your company, or your friends to edit information by setting the editing privileges. This will make website creation and development a social endeavor.
