The news about the approval of first AndVoid aka (Android) based HTC phone by FCC has spread like wild fire across the Internet. The news was first broken by Engadget, which also confirmed the launch date to be November 10th, 2008. The phone is built by HTC, has Google software in it and would be supported by T-Mobile.
The phone would be using T-Mobile’s 3G data networks and has been approved to use the 1700 MHz band, the airwave that T-Mobile uses for 3G service. T-Mobile will go on to sell the GPhones from next quarter. It is yet to be seen how much of a competition will it offer to iPhone.

The phone includes a JogBall and will offer two data plans- an unlimited data and 400 messages or a limited data and unlimited messages. Prices are said to be in the $35 range.
